Digital Smile Design - The Future of Digital Dentistry
I am often asked by Dentists all over the country about how they can take their dentistry to the next level to meet the expectations of ther patients both now and for years to come. My answer is always the same… continue to invest in your own learning, become better and more highly skilled and learn how to excel relationally with people.
As many of you know, I am fanatical about giving patients an incredible experience when they choose to visit us. In an age where possibilities are endless, why is it that so many settle for “it’s good enough” or the status quo? If you feel like you are stuck in a rut or are looking to stand out in the sea of sameness, I encourage you to do something about it and break away from what everyone else is doing.
I recently ran a Digital Smile Design class with the brilliant Elaine Halley and Jameel Gardee in Glasgow, Scotland. Both Elaine and Jameel are DSD Masters and are some of only a few in the world qualified and accredited to teach others how to fully utilise Digital Smile Design to its full potential and design. We set out to create a learning event so hands on and different to anything else available to Dentists around the world – it had to be so practical that each participant could immediately use the tools when back in the surgery. It also had to be fun and teach real world principles that work!
I am delighted to say that the class was a huge success and over 75% of the participants have already completed a handful of in-depth treatment plans with patients now moving ahead with life changing treatment.
Another key part of the course is the focus and time spent on communication. I could teach for weeks about communication and over the three day class, we go step by step through the patient journey; what to do, what not to do, what equipment is best to use, how to engage with the patient to get to fully see their personality etc. – everything essential to creating an exceptional experience for the patient and a fantastic clinical result.
If you are looking to take your learning further and use technology and digital dentistry to enhance your practice and clinical ability, then I would like to invite you to join Jameel, Elaine and I at the London, UK course on 13th to 15th September 2016. Visit www.dsd-uk.com for the full details of the class including a full course agenda with exactly what is covered. Alternatively, email me directly at adam@adammorgancompany.com. I am looking forward to seeing you there!
